There were so many fantastic watch announcements and releases in April. We might have gotten the best watch released in 2023. I'm very excited about this one and I'm getting one!

Seiko 5KX 38mm - I'm so happy Seiko are finally listening to their customers and releasing a 38mm version. I love the teal dial version and want to get one to compare it against my SKX013!

Seiko PX SPB383J - A very sporty GMT with a pretty chunky angular case.

Marathon Steel Navigator - My friends at Marathon was very kind and sent me one ahead of the launch. Video covering this watch is coming soon to my Youtube channel

RZE Glacier Collection - A new collection of Endeavours with a beautiful textured dial. The white-dialled Endevaour inspired by Iceland’s tallest mountain is my favourite one from this release.

Brew Brewmatic PVD Black - A super sleek watch inspired by automotive and coffee. Compact dimensions and a blacked-out case and dial with subtle red accents.

G-Shock DW-H5600 (Coming Soon) - This is the best watch release of the year! A 5600 series G-Shock now has an optical heart rate monitor, step counter and Bluetooth connectivity. G-Shock has finally done it and I need it now!

Lorier Astra - A beautiful vintage-inspired watch with a unique luminous ring around the dial. I love the sector dial design and compact size of the Astra!

Boldr x Pokemon Collection - I love the idea of a Pokemon collaboration timepiece but this execution was disappointing 😢

Citizen x Star Wars Thermo Sensor (Coming Soon) - These new Star Wars collab watches are amazing! There are four designs inspired by C-3PO, R2-D2, the X-Wing and the Millenium Falcon. C-3PO and R2-D2 are limited to 300 pieces while the X-Wing and Millenium Falcon are limited to 200 pieces.

Other Gear

BigiDesign Bit Bar Inline Max - A larger version of the Bit Bar Inline. Made from Titanium with more space to store extra bits.

Tactile Turn 8-Bit Pen - Tactile Turn has been releasing seasonal releases for the Pens for a while and now they have a new pen inspired by early video game consoles. The black, grey and orange colour of this pen looks so good!

Merrel HUT MOC 2 Pack (1TRL) - I love the zip-up concept of these shoes! Both shoes can be zipped up together to save space when hiking and when you’re at a campsite, you can unzip them and have a lightweight and comfy casual shoe.

Adidas Terrex x And Wander Collab Collection 🔥- This might be the best collab. I love both brands and it’s amazing to see them collaborate and release a collection together.

Things I’ve been working on recently

This month was crazy. I've been working on the new product release for Tachibana and client work for Ridge and Dango which you can read below. I didn't get around to finishing up a few Youtube videos. At the moment, I've been working on the Alpaka Metro Pouch and Marathon Steel Navigator reviews. These should be out soon on my channel!

Tachibana Co. Pendant Collection 🔥

After working on this new product release for the past six months, it is finally out! We're so excited to release these new pendants and it's a new canvas for us to explore more Japanese designs with rich tradition and history. We've only got three pendant designs for our first drop, however, we've already wrapped the designs for our next drop. So far, the feedback and reception have been overwhelmingly positive and we can't wait to see more of these pendants out in the wild!

Travis at RZE Watches

At the start of April, I finally got to catch up with Travis from RZE Watches are a few failed attempts. I rarely meet people in the industry because not many brands visit Brisbane. The catchup with Travis was very refreshing. We had a great chat talking about watches, gear, marketing, branding and what's next for RZE. I can't reveal anything but something exciting is arriving next year!
