June 2023 Gear Recap
Gear News, Releases & Announcements
Bags
Alpaka Go Sling Nano - As a huge fan of the Go Sling series of slings for its perfect balance of size and organisation, this nano follows the same design language but comes in a smaller 1.6L size. This looks like a great sling for a few daily essentials! I love the option for the removable straps to convert the sling into a small EDC pouch.
Alpaka Elements Tech Brief Pro - I recently upgraded my laptop and just ordered the standard edition of the Elements Tech Brief in XPAC and now Alpaka just launched a pro version. The overall design and layout of the comments look the same. The highlight is the hidden adjustable and padded backpack straps integrated into the bag. It looks very sleek and better designed compared to the current design of the standard version.
Alpaka Headphones Case - This one is an interesting product. I wasn’t expecting Alpaka to create a pouch for audiophiles but I love it! I love dabbling into audio gear and whenever I upgrade my headphones, I might need to add this to my travel setup.
Bellroy Lite Arcade Gray - New colourway for the Lite collection. I love this new grey colourway with a white grid pattern on the ripstop material! 🔥
Bellroy Sacoche - A flat, lightweight and minimal sling for the minimalist. Unfortunately, I’m not a huge fan of the flat design on this one.
Boundary Supply Rennen Ripstop Collection Kickstarter - A new collection of ripstop bags available on Kickstarter. This collection has a daypack, tote bag, sling and small pouch. All bags come with YKK water-resistance zippers and appear to be packable. The sling and pouch are my favourites from this collection!
Evergoods Transit Duffel 35L - Love the design of the opening to the main compartment. It kind of reminds me of a similar design to a doctor’s bag. Check out this video my friend Bo recently made on this duffel bag here.
Matador ReFraction Series - A new collection of packable bags from Matadors. All come with waterproof coating and waterproof YKK zippers and a built-in storage pocket. I love the design of the duffel and sling bag!
Tomtoc T73 Backpack - A sleek 30L laptop backpack. I’m surprised Tomtoc released this in XPAC since they usually only used ballistic nylon in the past. I love this new shift in the direction of materials and can’t wait to see their popular H02 Sling in XPAC!
Watches
Seiko Speed Timer 1/100 sec Solar Chronograph - This is a crazy-looking watch. It’s like a stopwatch on steroids. The highlight of this watch is the solar movement that measures 1/100th of a second. It has a very busy dial design with several subdials but somehow it looks well-balanced proportioned.
Citizen Promaster Dive 37mm - It looks like Citizen is finally listening to their customers and released smaller Promaster Dive. With a 200m water resistance, this new watch might fill the gap in the market the classic Seiko SKX has left behind. At $375 USD this one’s a great alternative to the Seiko 5KX lineup.
Longines Spirit Zulu Time - The dial on the Spirit Zulu Time is so well designed. All of the colourways look great but the dark brown dial with gold accents is stunning!
Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 35mm - The 35mm Powermatic PRX is finally here! When they released the quartz version, I’d been waiting for the entire lineup of automatic versions. The 35mm PRX comes in black, white, blue and green dials. The white one is my favourite! 🔥
Orient Mako 40 - Love this new Mako in a smaller case diameter of 39.9mm. The white and navy dial looks amazing. This Mako might be one of the best affordable divers right now!
Omega 75th Anniversary Seamasters - The whole Seamaster collection looks fantastic. The Aqua Terra 41mm and Seamaster 300 are my favourites! 😍
Other Gear
Orbitkey Hybrid Work Duo Kickstarter - A new Kickstarter for two new products, a hybrid laptop sleeve and compendium. I love the design of the hybrid laptop sleeve! This sleeve can turn into a mini portable desk mat and transform any space into a workspace. The Compendium looks pretty cool note-taking tool too!
BigiDesign Ti Pocket Knife Kickstarter - This titanium knife looks rock solid! The knife looks similar to the Pete's Pirate Knife folder since they’re both designed by BigiDesign. Love the super clean lines and minimal design of this knife.

After months of testing the Alpaka Metro Pouch, I've finally made a video sharing my thoughts on it. This might be my new favourite pouch for hiking and EDC!
Titanium EDC Gear from Temu… Is it worth it?
Lately, I've been seeing ads from Temu everywhere and decided to check out some of their Titanium EDC gear and spent about $70 on random things like keychains, tweezers and a prybar. In today's video to see if they're worth it or if I got scammed. Have you recently bought some EDC gear from Temu? If you have, let me know your experience!
